Mining drilling
Mineral drilling is a method used to explore and/or extract mineral resources from the ground. It involves drilling holes in the earth’s crust to reach deposits of minerals or metals. The process may include several steps:
- Exploratory drilling: Before extraction, drilling is carried out to assess the presence and concentration of minerals in the soil.
- Production drilling: Once a deposit is confirmed, additional drilling is carried out to extract the minerals.
- Diversion drilling: In some cases, drilling at different angles can be used to access hard-to-reach areas.
Bernier Wells carries out a range of drilling work for the mining sector. Most of our drilling work is used by mining companies to facilitate their operations. We mainly specialize in rotary drilling with down-the-hole drills or tricone bits. Bernier Wells works in partnership with drilling companies that work in mining exploration and operation.
Above all Bernier Wells works on specialist drilling projects that are highly challenging from a technical point of view, such as holes to supply product underground, ventilations shafts, geothermal wells for buildings, bored piles, artesian wells, and the installation of pumps to supply water to construction or industrial sites.
