It’s time to disinfect your artesian well!
If you are the owner of an artesian well, you are responsible for the quality of its water. That is why it is important to disinfect your well every year, ideally in spring. Even if your water is clear and has no particular odour or taste, it may contain bacteria that are harmful to human health without you even knowing it. These bacteria most often appear when the snows melt.
You can disinfect your well yourself if you use the right products, which you can obtain from us. Our team can also use cameras to perform a complete inspection of your artesian well, for a deeper analysis. This process allows you to find a problem quickly, if there is one, and to prepare for any potential future difficulties.
But don’t just draw the line at disinfection: analysing your water twice a year is also recommended to make sure that it is of good quality throughout the year.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We will gladly provide any particular information you need to maintain your artesian well.

Puits Bernier successfully completed the external geothermal exchangers project.
They were able to adapt the schedule in the face of unpredictable geological problems and offer technical solutions.
Yes, you can drill in wintertime!
Many people think it is impossible to drill during the winter. However, they are wrong, because you can! People think that because the ground is frozen, drilling work is impossible. In fact, although the topsoil may be frozen the subsoil is not. The ice is just on the surface and so, with the right equipment, it is perfectly feasible to carry out any kind of drilling work.
Bearing in mind that the best time to dig your well is BEFORE construction starts, do not make the mistake of delaying your project because of the weather. Start your work right now!
All you need to do is ensure that the access is clear and free from snow so that the machinery can get onto the drilling site. The access road needs to be a minimum of 14 feet wide and 45 feet high and free of obstacles, such as rocks, trees, branches, roots, construction materials, and electrical cables.
The drilling platform needs a minimum space of 16’ X 55’ and must be able to support the weight of a 70,000 pound vehicle.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about drilling.
P. Lefebvre – Groupe Plombaction
Puits bernier carried out the construction of geothermal exchangers with great efficiency.
The availablity and professional rigor of the staff enabled us to follow the progress of the works with complete peace of mind.
Havre des Cantons
Bernier Wells was commissioned to drill and underpin a retaining wall. The wall was built to retain the lateral thrust of loose ground around a building. The temporary structure was used during work on the foundations around the building.
